The gallery Macilhac presents the Ben Swildens desk at AIFAF 2012 in Palm Beach, USA (American International Fine Art Fair). Now in its 16th year, AIFAF is the premier art, antique and jewelry fair in the United States. AIFAF will again gather prestigious galleries and distinguished collectors from around the world during its return to the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

2012, January 21st to 29th – Brussels – BRAFA 2012

The famous french gallery Macilhac presents the Ben Swildens desk at BRAFA 2012 (Brussels Antiques and Fine Art Fair). Brussels becomes the space of 10 days, the European capital of the arts through the Fine Arts Brussels Antiques Fair, one of the most prestigious art fairs in the world. Between classicism, openness to the world and listening to contemporary trends in the art market, the BRAFA is part of the circle of major events in the international art market.

5 décembre 2011 au 19 janvier 2012 – Paris - Siège Social de Peugeot

45 ans après sa création, le bureau créé par Ben Swildens retrouve son écrin d’origine, le siège social de Peugeot. Ce bureau fut en effet dessiné à l’origine lors de l’aménagement de ce siège social en 1966. Trois exemplaires étaient alors destinés aux hôtesses d’accueil. Après l’audace que Peugeot a montrée en installant 3 bureaux d’un tel design dans son hall en 1966, et en accueillant à nouveau ce bureau, Peugeot rend hommage à Ben Swildens dont les principes de création rejoignent ceux de la marque automobile : « Ce bureau est né de désirs simples : créer quelque chose de neuf et vouloir simplifier les formes. »

"Depuis 45 ans, Arrivetz expose les plus belles pièces du mobilier contemporain. La rencontre avec Grégory Maitre de Furdess est tout sauf fortuite. Cet objet si unique, réédition pilotée par le designer lui-même et fabriqué dans le département était destiné à trouver son chemin jusqu'à la rue de Jarente. Dans la logique de notre philosophie, c'est une vraie fierté de l'exposer et de pouvoir raconter son histoire" souligne Richard Sansavini de Arrivetz.

May 19, 2011 - Rome – Gallery Spazio Nuovo

The Spazio Nuovo gallery opened in 2010 in Rome has quickly become the leading addresses of contemporary art for new collectors and the curious. With a plus : the presentation of collections of rare design.
In this city that for centuries shines with richness and abundance of ancient art and Baroque Master founders William and Paulo Perez Mouriz wanted to leave a unique place in contemporary art from a very original research with expertise particularly for talented Latin American artists.

Nestled in the heart of botteghe craftsmen's throw from the Pantheon, Spazio Nuovo participates in the great movement of contemporary Rome in following closely the opening of National Art Museum of the XXI century, the MAXXI.

Among the artists represented, photographer and painter Edburg Daniela Simon Edmonson remain the most popular. Building on its success, the gallery is already working with the cities of Milan, Paris, London and Shanghai.


In exlusivity, Spazio Nuovo will present the Max Ingrand stainless steel desk in June 2011, reedited by furdess.

At « merci »


As part of the exhibition opening dedicated to Ben Swildens, Furdess presents world premiere of the desk "Max Ingrand 1966", the major piece of the exhibition. The event is made possible thanks to the new concept store trend of the French capital. The founders, Marie-France and Bernard Cohen, came up with this exceptionally managed business after selling Bonpoint. Its profit is donated as an endowment that they created to help poor children, especially those in Madagascar
